About Preston Page

Preston Page is a reknowned fashion, beauty, glamour, and fine art photographer based in St. Louis, MO, known for classical, elegant images.

Preston's photography career started 1969, after is was clear he did not inherit is grandfather's talent for painting. He started freelancing, specializing in scientific and technical photography.  Then in 1972, to work on his master's thesis in physical and forensic anthropology, he added cinematography to his freelance repertoire, covering wildlife and scientific research projects worldwide.

​A big change came in 1976, when he took a job with The Sporting News as editor of the New Produts section of the magazine and started photographing sportwear on models to add a bit of drama to the column.  That led to Preston hiring on as the first staff fashion photographer for the prestigous department store of the day, Stix, Baer & Fuller, teamed with legendary art director Rany Miller. Over the next few years, Rany and Preston produced a number of award winning newspaper, magazine and TV ads.

Preston Page Photography opened its doors in 1977, counting most St. Louis based garmentand and jewelry manuractureres as clients. Today, Preston works with the STL Fashion Alliange, Fashion Group International, FashionSTL.com, and other groups to help as best he can launch and build fashion careers.
